California Dreamin'
Working on these blocks from Jaybird Quilts' Toes in the Sand is helping me move on from the winter doldrums. Each block is named for a California beach, and I can only dream about what it would be like to be on one of them right now. Since the pattern calls for making two of each block, this will be a large quilt. It's intended to be a wedding gift, but more on that later!
Oh cool stuff! I love this quilt! Looking forward to seeing more!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are making the snowy days fun with your California dreamin" - pretty squares Susan ! WOW - the snow photo was something else. take care Mel
ReplyDeleteWell Susan - I sat at Bolsa Chica (next door to Surf City (Huntington Beach) last Thursday with my grands. I was thinking about my best friend's sister who teaches in New Jersey and was worried about the number of snow days pushing her school year into late June. I definitely was feeling grateful that afternoon as the sun pennies on the ocean were so bright. I hope you have a spectacular Spring!!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are lovely
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to dream about summer with the beach-named blocks. We are having great weather where I live now but we'll suffer when our hot summer arrives.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quilt! Love it!
ReplyDeleteLovely blocks, and beach ~ yes! please!
ReplyDeleteI am sure you will tame that wedding present in no time!
