Friday Night Sew-In
It's that time again--the third Friday of the month and time for Friday Night Sew-In. Stop on over at Heidi's blog to sign up. The timing couldn't be better for me as tomorrow is my last day of work until late August. Tonight is the high school graduation for my district and I'll be one of the faculty members marching with the students. This year, some of the students I had in kindergarten through third grade (and again when they were in middle school) are now 21 and graduating from their special education classes. It's always a special moment for me to see how far they have come. The last day for students is today so tomorrow the teachers are heading for an early lunch. That means I'll be home in the early afternoon and organizing my stitching projects for tomorrow night. I just finished an ornament, so I think I'll be going back to Not For Us Alone. If I'm exhausted from all the celebrating, I'll probably pick up my Sanibel needlepoint piece since you can't make too many mistakes with basketweave. I hope you can join in the fun!
Yay on the end of school and all the special celebrations. Enjoy that stitching now that you can relax for the summer!
ReplyDeleteI could not have said that better myself.
DeleteEnjoy your summer vacation and I hope you have lots of time to stitch.
ReplyDeleteHow time flies ....where does the time go and how do kids grow up so fast. Enjoy the graduation and your stitching night as well as your well deserved respite this summer. I see lots of stitching and quilting in the next few weeks for you.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your summer vacation. I still have to work until the end of July but then the summer break starts here, too. Can't wait for it to start.
